A small, independent bar on Lidget Street, Lindley serving drinks, nibbles & cheeseboards.
We have officially closed.
To our customers, friends and neighbours.
By the time you read this, many of you will already know that The Wine Café / No.103 has reached the end of its journey. With a downturn in trade, rising employment and energy costs, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to close.
We never imagined that things would end this way.
We are just ordinary people who poured our hearts, souls and hard-earned money into trying to create something special for Lindley.
We gave this business everything we had.
Behind every small business are real people. Real families. Real tears. And sometimes, despite your best efforts and giving it everything you have, it still isn't enough.
To the people who drank with us, laughed with us and supported us from day one, thank you. You have no idea how much your kindness has meant. You reminded us that there are far more good people in this world than bad.
We hope that whatever comes next in this building brings life to the village and adds to the community, and not become yet another empty unit or business that does little to bring people into our already quiet high street. Lindley deserves independent businesses that people can be proud of.
We leave with heavy hearts, but with our heads held high.
Please support your community and your small businesses, it’s hard out there at the moment for many hospitality businesses.
Thank you, Lindley.
